The End of the World -- MRMRMHHHRM

People always tell me that the end of the world is coming soon, but I never thought it would happen today. I look out my window and see the fire that has spread across the woods. "They can take everything, but they cannot take my woods."

I walk outside and let the rain pour down, burning like acid as it touches my skin. The wind swirls around me so quickly that I am actually being lifted off of the ground and into the air. I walk over to the woods and lift my arms up, allowing all of my power to exit out of me.

The rain pours down even harder and I close my eyes, opening them again when the fire is gone. The rain begins to puddle around me - which is when I realize that I am on the ground once more - and then I am sucked under the water. I close my eyes as the water engulfs my body, pulling me deeper and deeper into the black nothingness below me.

When I open my eyes again, I am in my room.

It was all just a dream... The world isn't ending... Wooh..!

I close my eyes again and dream of playing in the meadow, instead of dreaming about the end of the world. "We will not know when the end of the world will come, little one. No one knows, except for One."

I look up at the young man who stands before me and see that he is dressed in all white. "You are an angel..." The boy smiles and nods, holding his hand out to me. I gratefully take it, letting him walk me through the meadows.

I have the feeling that I will be safe from now on... Away from the nightmares and the bad things that haunt me.

An Unexpected Christmas Gift

I know this is really weird, but I just couldn't think of anything to write... So, I wrote randomness about whatever I thought of, I guess? I'm not really sure exactly, if you know what I mean... I am sure that Julia and Liz understand what I am saying, though... ;)

The little girl sits up in her bed and notices an odd glowing coming from her closet. "Mommy and Daddy always told me not to be afraid to look in the closet. But maybe I should wake them up to come in their with me..." She swings her legs over the side of the bed and hops down to the floor, holding her stuffed bunny in her arms.

She slowly walks over to the closet, knowing that there is something - whether good or bad - that awaits her from the other side of the door. "Marie..." She stops dead in her tracks and inhales sharlpy, not understanding where her name was being called from. "It's me... I am in the closet, my dear." Marie stares straight ahead, confused with how the glowing behind her door knows her name.

She begins to shake and drops her bunny, running over to the lightswitch. "Mommy!! Daddy!!" Marie's parents come rushing in to her room and in an instant, the father's arms are wrapped around a crying Marie. Her mother kneels down in front of her, but Marie is unable to form the words to tell her parents about the scary glowing light coming from her closet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been ten years since the incident with the closet, and Marie and her family have been living a wonderful life. It is Christmas now, and Marie has the strangest feeling that this Christmas is going to be the best Christmas she has ever had.

"Mom, do you need any help with the baking?" Tessa, Marie's mother, shakes her head and goes back to her cooking, a smile spreading across her face. I wonder what that was about... Mom normally accepts any offer I give to her. Hm... Marie shrugs and walks into the living room, draping a blanket over her sleeping father.

"George, honey, it is time for dinner!! Get in here so we can have some family time!!" Tessa appears in the doorway with a dishrag still in her hand while Marie helps George clean up the bag of chips that he spilled all over the floor. "Dear, I am going to pretend that I haven't seen the chips that are strewn about the floor and I am really hoping that all of it will be cleaned up by the time I do come back in. And next time, hun, please don't spoil your appetite by eating early."

"Alright, dear. I love you."

"I love you too." Marie smiles as she sees how happy her parents are. I hope I get married to someone like Dad and we live a happy life filled with love like Mom and Dad do... Marie sighs and hears a knock at the door.

"Were we expecting anyone, Dad?" Marie looks at her father and he smiles at her, simply shaking his head. Again with the smiling? What are they so deviously happy about, I wonder... She walks over to the door and opens it, only to see the most handsome man she has ever seen before.

The stranger takes her hand in his and presses a gentle kiss to it, staring into her eyes the whole time. "Good evening, love. I came to ask you a question." The young man gets down on one knee and pulls out a little black box, opening it to reveal a small ring studded with diamonds. "Will you marry me?"

"Um... Give me a minute." Marie closes the door in the man's face and runs into the kitchen. "Some guy just asked me to marry him!!" Tessa and George look at each other and smile, the two of them nodding at each other. Tessa turns to face Marie and she opens her mouth.

"That boy is the glow that was in your closet when you were younger... He is your guardian angel and he has come to marry you. We were informed of this a little while ago, actually..." Marie nods slowly and walks back to the door, taking a deep breath before she opens it.

"Yes, I will marry you, Shane." Almost as though she has known him her whole life and that they were meant to be together, the words flow out of her mouth as easily as she has ever said anything in her whole life. Tears stream down her face as Shane brushes his lips over hers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both Shane and Marie were as happy as they could be. And neither of them thought of anyone else or loved anyone quite as much as they loved each other. They both understood how weird their engagement was and how their relationship started, but they didn't care even though they knew how unrealistic the whole thing was.

An Angel's Night

This is just a lttle something that I came up with today... Just wrote off of the top of my head and it was really fast... So, yeah!! :)

I walk through the shadows, trying to see through the fog that has settled in over the city, but I cannot see anything - not even my hand in front of my face. I close the door behind me and walk across the rooftop, not knowing where the edge is. Nothing is clear anymore... Why am I here? What have I done to be in this mess?

I close my eyes as I look down at the road far beneath me, realizing that I am at the end of the concrete roof on which I now stand. "This time, I will not turn around. I will fall. I must..." There is a faint click of a door shutting behind me and a lock slips into place, and if it was not for my special hearing abilities, I would not have heard the noise.

I take a deep breath and let it out slowly as I turn around, seeing a boy with a gun. He raises it so that the gun is pointing directly at my heart, and I hear the sound of the gun being cocked. "You know, if you jump, I will shoot myself..." I squint my eyes to see the boy through the thick fog and I gasp, covering my hands over my mouth.

A silent tear runs down my cheek as I realize who it is. "Luka, put the gun down..!" I take a step back from him and feel my foot slip into nothingness. Oh no..! I didn't want to die with him here... I don't want him to watch me die!!

I close my eyes as I feel the wind rushing through my hair, and then I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. "Thaela, you should not close your eyes when falling..." I open my eyes quickly at the sound of Luka's voice, and as I do so, I stop falling. Everything stops.

I look around quickly and see that time itself has stopped. I look back at Luka and see that he is frozen as well. What just happened..? I gently place my hand on his shoulder and Luka takes a deep breath, smiling at me. "Well, I am glad to see that you remember how to stop time, my love." My eyes widen as he says this and he hugs me tightly.

"Okay... Um, for one thing, what do you know about all of this? And for another thing, why did you just call me your love? I thought we were over... That was the whole reason I-" Luka presses his finger to my lips and kisses my forehead gently, shaking his head ever so slightly.

"You will remember soon, love... And right now, I do believe that we should get time started up once more... What do you think?" I smile and nod at him, a little bit confused, but happy all the same. I close my eyes and think the exact same thoughts that I was thinking when time stopped, excapt backwards. I wish time would just continue...

Wind begins to rush through my hair again, but only for a moment because all of a sudden, I am floating again. Only, this time, I am moving up and down. I open my eyes to find Luka looking up towards the sky, and a pair of white wings protruding from Luka's back are carrying us towards it. He is my guradian angel..? Great, I am in love with an angel... The luck I have.

I shake my head slowly as Luka lands gently on another rooftop. "My love, do you remember now?" I close my eyes as a small tingling sensation erupts in my head. Then, I remember everything - Luka and I dancing in the meadow, the two of us hanging out at some coffee shop, spending every waking moment together.

"We are both angels... Guardians to those who need us... But, we were meant to be for each other, as a couple... Is that right?" I look up at Luka and see a huge grin cross his face. He nods and pulls me into his arms, kissing the top of my head.

"That is right, love." He pushes away from me and lifts my chin so that I am looking directly into his eyes now. Luka presses his lips to mine and holds me close to him. That is when I relaize that we are floating, and that I have wings. They are the same color as Luka's, and as I am looking into Luka's eyes, I come to know that what I am meant to do is defend this earth from the evil and the sin that has overtaken it.

"We will protect this world, side by side."

"Forever."

Ashes

Ashes

People

Sinful people

They all die

At some point

When death

Knocks

On their door

Bringing them out of

Their peaceful sleep

And into

A horrible

Fire

They scream

As the binding grip

Of death

Constricts them

Sucks their breath away

And as they turn to

Ash

They become silent

Yet still they scream

Silent screams

Reaching far

Beyond the outer edges

Of the fiery depths

That they now occupy

What will become of them

The answer

Is my addiction

They will become

Ash

These ashes

Once were white

They fell as snow

But turned to black

They were clean

As the sky

But were soiled

And turned to death

People

Slaughtered

And killed

They were wretched

And unloved

But they did not deserve

What they got

Their end

It came quickly

My desire

Was fueled

By their pain

The regret I saw

In their eyes

Penetrated deep

Deep

Into their souls

Killing their

Essence

I felt

Their

Pain

Remorse

Sorrow

And inhaled it

As though

It was

A drug

Ash is my addiction

P.S. This particular poem has been written for a story that i am writing right now, and i can assure you that i am not adicted to ash :) However, i am addicted to writing, so please feel free to look at my other posts as well :)
