These waves crashing down,

Crushing everything-

Everything around them-

Taking everything in their path.

In one moment,

Everything is swept away-

Out of their life-

No one was expecting.

These waves crashing down,

This was their last time-

The last time they would be-

Together,

United,

Alive.

When would these waves,

These never ending waves,

Stop crashing down-

Taking everything in their path?

The windows caved in.

The roof collapsed.

Their cries were for but a moment-

A moment that changed their lives.

As their hands slipped away,

Their lungs filled with water,

Their hearts ceased.

Smiles crossed their faces.

Tears were shed.

Their eyes stayed open,

Watching the other leave.

Their last moments

Were painful,

Separated,

Hurting.

But the waves stopped crashing down,
